2025 S Cody Haddad Talks Notre Dame Return

Cody Haddad‍ had already made multiple visits to South Bend and the 2025 Ohio safety was back this past weekend for Notre Dame’s game against Pittsburgh.

“I had a good time,” Haddad told Irish Sports Daily. “I got to see the facilities, got to walk around campus a little bit, and then I got to see the fieldhouse and stuff.”

While the Irish’s 58-7 win over the Panthers lacked suspense, Haddad still enjoyed himself.

“Other than it was a complete blowout, it was a good game,” he laughed. “It was fun to come and watch it live.

“The atmosphere was great. It was just great. I've been there a couple times for games, so I'm pretty familiar with games.”

The St. Ignatius star already has double-digit offers from schools like Cincinnati, Boston College and Duke among others. 

“I'm just blessed honestly,” the 6-foot-1, 178-pounder said. “All the work I put in, when it pays off, it feels nice. But I'm not settled.”

While in South Bend, Haddad had the chance to speak with some Notre Dame staff members.

“I talked to Caleb Davis a little bit, one of the recruiters, and I talked to Coach O'Leary for a little bit on the field,” he said. 

“I talked to Caleb Davis, just got to know him a little bit more. He got to know me a little bit more, gave him just the basic stuff, how I've been playing this year. He's been asking me a couple questions like that.

“Coach O'Leary, we talked on the field. I just got back from an injury, so I don't think he's seen my film yet, so hopefully he's going to check that out. He just told me to keep going in the playoffs and that I have a bright future and stuff like that.”

Haddad has already made trips to Ohio State and Cincinnati this year and has plans to get to Duke next month.

As for himself and the Irish, Haddad says the ball is in their court.

“Honestly, I don't know. It's really up to them. I do what I can and hopefully they can make the decision.”
