2026 OL Ben Gula Enjoys First Look At Notre Dame
Ben Gula made the trip up to South Bend for Notre Dame’s game against Pittsburgh and the 2026 Florida offensive lineman was not disappointed.
“It was a really beautiful campus,” Gula told Irish Sports Daily. “The stadium's beautiful. They look like a very elite program. I really loved the atmosphere of what they've got going on over there.”
The 6-foot-5, 280-pounder came into the trip with high expectations.
“My whole life, I've loved Notre Dame,” the Cypress Bay High School standout said. “It's a beautiful school. They have a beautiful o-line.
“Every facet of that school is just amazing. My entire life I've looked up to them. I wouldn't say it's perfect, but it is definitely a favorite…It exceeded my expectations.
Gula had never been to South Bend, but is familiar with the region having been born in Pennsylvania.
Gula has early offers from Texas A&M, Western Michigan and Bethune Cookman.
“I'm just really proud of myself,” he said of the early attention. “I'm proud of my team, the position I was put in, God.
“Everything that was set up for me was really exciting. I was very blessed to receive what I got. It was really magical almost.”
He’s already visited Florida, Miami and Appalachian State this year, but doesn’t have any other visits locked in yet.
Gula didn’t fly into South Bend until the morning of the game, so he didn’t get much of a chance to connect with any coaches this visit, but he is hoping to do so in the future and potentially during another visit.
