Notre Dame fans got used to some random quarterback making his first career start and having the game of his life against the Irish defense. It probably didn’t happen as frequently as people remember, but it sure felt that way for many years.

It has to be pretty nice for them not to have to worry about that now. Michael Kern was making his first start for Wake Forest and he looked like every other quarterback Notre Dame has faced this season: frustrated and unable to do much about it.
