2026 WR Davon Grant Talks Notre Dame Stop
Davon Grant got an early look at Notre Dame this past weekend and the 2026 Illinois receiver was impressed with what he saw.
“It was good; nice facilities,” Grant told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “It was very beautiful.”
The De Kalb standout has early offers from Illinois, Iowa and Akron.
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound sophomore got to see a little bit about what Notre Dame has to offer.
“It was very beautiful,” he said of campus. “I liked the way the buildings looked old, but you know they're maintained and taken care of and everything. It just gave a little aesthetic look to it.
“We were able to see the indoor practice facility and we were pretty much on the field watching players warm up.”
He enjoyed seeing the Irish’s 45-7 destruction of Wake Forest and the atmosphere inside Notre Dame Stadium for it.
“It was a good game,” he said. “I liked it.
“It was crazy. They were throwing marshmallows and stuff, they were throwing a whole bunch of things.”
Grant was also impressed with the Irish’s offensive system.
“They're very diverse and they fit a play style that I could play with, so I really like it,” he said. “I like how they mix things up and don't just do one thing all game.”
Grant doesn’t have any other college visits planned just yet. He doesn’t know what’s next for him and the Irish, but said he’d love to return to Notre Dame in the future.
“If they're willing to have me back for another visit or anything, I'd be glad to go.”
