The Notre Dame coaches sure seemed impressed with Daylin Page’s frame when they saw the 2025 Mississippi defensive end on campus for the Irish’s final home game of the season last weekend.

“I got a chance to talk to the offensive coordinator, the defensive line coach and the defensive coordinator,” Page told Irish Sports Daily afterward.

“They said they liked my size. The offensive coordinator, the tight ends coach, he was trying to get me to play tight end.”

The 6-foot-6, 245-pounder laughed, but said he’d be willing to play wherever the coaches want him to.

Defensive line coach Al Washington echoed many of Gerad Parker’s comments.

“He said, I've got nice size and I'm going to be on the edge,” Page said of Washington. “They would put a little weight on me.”

The North Forrest High School standout enjoyed being on campus in South Bend.

“It went good,” he said. “I liked it.

“I saw how much energy Notre Dame had. It was just fun and everybody was nice. All around, it was a good experience. Campus was good. It was big.”

He was also impressed with the Irish’s 45-7 win over Wake Forest.

“They played good,” said Page. “Wake Forest couldn't stop the run and the defense did their thing, and it was a team game.”

Page felt it was a defense he could fit in.

“They were just aggressive and able to read their keys to stop everything,” he said.

He enjoyed the time he spent with Recruiting Associate Caleb Davis.

“My recruiter, Caleb, he was real good,” said Page. “He was nice and everything.”

Page doesn’t have any other visits planned, but is certainly open to returning to South Bend if invited.

“I'll definitely try to get back.”
