2025 WR Shaun Terry Talks II Notre Dame Offer, Jr. Day
Shaun Terry II landed an offer from Notre Dame during the Irish’s Junior Day Saturday.
Earlier in the week, the 2025 Ohio receiver told Irish Sports Daily if he was fortunate enough to pick up a scholarship offer from the Irish, he would be speechless.
“And that's what I was,” Terry said afterward.
The Ironton High School standout and his father were informed of the offer during a meeting with new Irish receivers coach Michael Brown.
“He basically was going over my film and telling me how they were going to use me and that I had an offer,” Terry recalled.
Brown told Terry he envisions using the 5-foot-10, 170-pounder the same way he used former Cincinnati receiver Tyler Scott, when he was coaching with the Bearcats.
“It was awesome,” Terry said. “He actually had a film on there. He would play one of my plays on the film and then he would play one from Cincinnati's film and it would be almost the same play or something that I could do.”
Terry spoke with several staff members, including head coach Marcus Freeman, who he had a 15-minute meeting with.
“Great guy, great coach,” said Terry. “I truly believe and trust in what he's trying to do for the betterment of Notre Dame.”
Terry was grateful for the chance to meet the other recruits in town.
“It's great,” he said. “Just being there around the other commits, there's something special about it.
“I got to talk to Deuce (Knight). I got to talk to both of the running backs who were committed. I talked to the d-linemen and the corner, all of them. They're great kids. They're good representatives of the Notre Dame culture and just everything about it.”
Terry said the Irish pretty much showed him everything.
He’ll visit Clemson and possibly Kentucky in the coming months and expects to return to South Bend this spring.
“I'm highly interested in Notre Dame, definitely.”
