Making Moves | Notre Dame Football on the Recruiting Trail 1.31
Notre Dame will hit the road on Wednesday as they’ll make more important stops in ACC, Big Ten and SEC country.
All visits should be considered tentative.
Head Coach Marcus Freeman and Cornerbacks Coach Mike Mickens
Freeman and Mickens are expected to travel to Tennessee and Ohio on Wednesday. With Al Washington and Chris O’Leary hitting Nashville, it would make sense for Freeman and Mickens to join them at their respective stops.
In Ohio, we believe Freeman and Mickens will hit Ironton High School (Ohio) to check on 2025 receiver Shaun Terry II, who visited for Junior Day and left with an offer. Clemson and USC have recently made stops at Ironton, while Oregon has now offered Terry.
Offers: Appalachian State, Arkansas, Auburn, Boston College, Bowling Green, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, UMass, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt, Tennessee, Toledo, USC, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin
Junior Highlights
Offensive Coordinator Mike Denbrock
We expected Denbrock in Utah on Tuesday, but he’ll make the trip to check on Pine View High School 2026 tight end Brock Harris today. The 6-foot-4, 205-pounder seems like a strong candidate to receive an offer from Notre Dame as he’s already a national prospect.
Offers: Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, BYU, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Oregon State, Penn State, San Diego State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UNLV, USC, Utah, Washington, Washington State and Wisconsin
Sophomore Highlights
Quarterbacks Coach Gino Guidugli
Guidguli is expected to swing by Cocoa High School (Fla.) to check on 2026 quarterback Brady Hart. The Irish offered Hart in mid-December and it’s an offer he was pretty fired up for, so Guidugli is making his presence felt despite NCAA rule preventing him from meeting with Hart.
Offers: Arkansas, Central Florida, Florida Atlantic, Iowa State, Miami, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Penn State, Pitt, Purdue, South Florida, Texas A&M and Virginia Tech
Sophomore Highlights
Running Backs Coach Deland McCullough
McCullough will continue to work his way through Miami.
Receivers Coach Mike Brown
Brown is expected to be at Bishop Gorman (Nev.) to see 2025 receiver Derek Meadows. The 6-foot-5 freak athlete continues to be high on Notre Dame’s board and vice versa. He had a huge weekend in Miami over the weekend and it’s led to offers from Florida and Georgia this week.
Junior Highlights
Offensive Line Coach Joe Rudolph
We expect Rudolph to stop by Roswell (Ga.) again to see 2025 offensive lineman Josh Petty. This will be the second time (the maximum) Rudolph will see Petty as the Irish make a push to get him on campus.
Petty Offers: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Boston College, Central Florida, Charlotte, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Houston, Indiana, Kansas, Louisville, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, South Carolina, South Florida, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech
Junior Highlights
Defensive Line Coach Al Washington
Washington will be at Ensworth High School in Nashville for the second week in a row. Washington offered 2025 defensive lineman Ethan Utley last week and we’re told it was a big one for him, but Tennessee is still the team to beat here. The four-star prospect did set a return to Texas for April 20th.
Offers: Auburn, Cal, Campbell, Cincinnati, Duke, Eastern Kentucky, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Liberty, Louisville, LSU, Maryland, Memphis, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi State, Missouri, NC State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Tennessee State, Texas, Texas A&M, Toledo, Tulane, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin
Junior Highlights
Safeties coach Chris O’Leary
O’Leary is expected to be in the Volunteer State on Wednesday. The reason is 2025 Lipscomb Academy (Tenn.) athlete CJ Jimcoily, who has been on quite the offer spree over the last couple of months. The three-star prospect is approaching 40 offers and could end up at the second or third level in college. The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder was at Stanford last week.
Offers: Arkansas, Austin Peay, Boston College, Cal, Colorado, Duke, Florida, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kentucky, Liberty, Louisville, LSU, Maryland, Memphis, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Penn State, Purdue, South Florida, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Toledo, Troy, Tulane, UAB, UNLV, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Western Kentucky and Wisconsin
Junior Highlights
Special Teams Coordinator Marty Biagi
Biagi will remain in Hawaii.
