2025 S JaDon Blair Talks Notre Dame, Official Visits & Timeline
JaDon Blair isn’t exactly sure when he’ll be back at Notre Dame next, but the 2025 North Carolina safety does know he’ll be back in June.
Notre Dame is one of four official visits - along with South Carolina, Michigan and Penn State - that Blair has locked in.
“What stood out to me is just the programs, what they're developing, what they're doing to support their program to potentially win a national championship,” he says.
“All the schools that I'm taking official visits to, in my opinion, are national championship contenders this coming up year. And just the way they recruit me, just the relationships I've been building with them.”
Blair, who will be in South Bend for that official the weekend of June 7th, says he’ll likely take additional official visits, but none have been set up yet.
He also plans to take some unofficial visits before the officials, which is why he still isn’t sure when his next trip to Notre Dame will be.
“I plan on getting up to Notre Dame to see a practice as well,” he says.
The Irish - particularly Marcus Freeman, Chris O’Leary and Chad Bowden - have had Blair’s attention for a while now.
“The way they recruit me, in my opinion, is unmatched,” he says. “It's like no one else. The way Notre Dame shows love.
“I get a text at least every day from either Coach O'Leary, Coach Freeman or Chad. That just shows me they're really serious about me and they're really serious about having me on the defensive side, playing that free safety position like Kyle Hamilton, just rangy and can play everywhere.”
After discussing it with his parents, Blair says he intends to make his college announcement in July.
“It gives me enough time to process everything after my official visits, just get to settle down and narrow it down to what places I feel like fit me best, what places I know I could succeed in.”
