Notre Dame will add a familiar name to its football staff as Harris Bivin is expected to join the program, per a report from Football Scoop’s John Brice

Bivin, the older brother of former Irish offensive lineman Hunter Bivin, will arrive in South Bend to be a senior offensive analyst fresh off an 11-month stint at LSU where he was the assistant director of football operations.

The Owensboro (Ky.) native is a jack of all trades as he will bring experience from various sides of college football. Prior to LSU, Bivin was the general manager and director of football operations at Missouri State after coaching the offensive line and working as the director of football operations at Morehead State.

Bivin was also the offensive coordinator at Fort Scott Junior College and the offensive line coach at Dodge City Community College in 2019. In 2018, Bivin was the tackles and tight ends coach at Sam Ford following a stop as a graduate assistant at Western Kentucky in 2017, where he worked under former Notre Dame offensive coordinator Mike Sanford.

The former All-American offensive lineman graduated from Murray State with a bachelor’s in business administration and then received his master’s degree from Western Kentucky.

In South Bend, he’ll be able to reunite with his younger brother, who is now the associate director for alumni relations at Notre Dame.
