Noah Mikhail‍ has already been to Notre Dame multiple times and the elite 2025 California linebacker will be back again April 3rd.

“Just figuring out the plan for me,” the Bonita High School standout told Irish Sports Daily when asked the major purpose of this return trip. “I think that's going to be big in the next step.”

The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder is looking to get more of an understanding of exactly how he’d fit in Notre Dame’s defense.

“Position-wise, the whole nine,” he said. “I'd say mainly position-wise, but kind of the whole plan for obviously where they see me, how they see me impacting them; obviously, where they see me in their scheme on first, second and third down.”

Mikhail, who has more than 30 offers from schools like USC, UCLA, Stanford, Washington, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska, Alabama and Georgia among many others, said he hasn’t gotten too in-depth on that with the Irish just yet.

“Not really,” he said. “That's why I'm trying to lock that in when I go up there in April.”

He doesn’t really have a particular role he’s looking to fill.

“I've been working on my whole game as a linebacker, so I really feel comfortable anywhere, anywhere they say,” he said. “Just knowing that plan will be important.”

In addition to that, Mikhail is once again hoping to get a feel for the program and those within it.

“Definitely getting around everybody's going to be really important, just getting the whole vibe for the team and the culture,” he said.

The Irish have held his attention for more than a year now.

“They have a great coaching staff, a great team, and a great culture down there,” he said. “They're building something special and I definitely want to see where that goes.”

He’s also planning to stop at Oregon, Nebraska, Texas A&M and Nebraska this spring. The goal is to use the next few months to decide which schools he wants to take official visits to before a decision is made this summer.

“Faith is important, obviously, being able to grow as a Christian athlete. Relationships are big and the culture and the program are big.”
