2025 LB Christian Jones Excited For Notre Dame Return
After visiting for a game last fall, Christian Jones will be back at Notre Dame next month for the Irish’s spring game.
“Just seeing more of what Notre Dame is about, going there with the boys, the Rezacs, having a good time there and building the relationships with the coaches more,” the 2025 Nebraska linebacker says, noting that he’ll be in attendance with his friends, Westside High School teammates and Notre Dame signees, Teddy and Anthony Rezac.
Jones has kept in steady communication with the Irish, having regular contact with Marcus Freeman, Al Golden and Max Bullough.
“It's not really a pitch right now,” Jones says of the Irish’s message. “It's just 'How's your day going? How's your week going? What's it look like?' Just the relationship-building side I'd say.
“I really like what they're about. I like what the program is about. They have been having a lot of success lately. The academic side is flawless, so that's a key factor too.”
Jones, who has offers from some of the nation’s top programs, including Nebraska, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Iowa, Penn State, Michigan State, Tennessee, Texas A&M and USC among others, doesn’t have any other spring visits locked in yet.
“I haven't finalized anything as of right now,” he says. “I haven't put anything set in stone.
“I'm up to go anywhere right now, just see other campuses. I'd probably say this go-round would be to see more campuses I haven't been to.”
Jones isn’t going to rush the process either.
“My timeline for a commitment would probably be mid-senior year. After I still see some spring ball and other places out there, I'll probably narrow the list down...maybe. I'm not sure though. I haven't really thought about it.”
