2026 TE Sam Hamilton Visiting Notre Dame On Monday
After camping at Notre Dame last summer, Sam Hamilton will be returning to South Bend on Monday.
“I'm stoked,” the 2026 Ohio tight end says. “It's going to be great.
“I'm really most excited about getting around the new tight ends coach, really just getting to see the whole campus and see where I fit in the best and just really get to know Coach (Marcus) Freeman a little bit more and just mostly get really introduced to Notre Dame.”
The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder from Archbishop Moeller has early offers from Kentucky and Toledo, but has long had his eyes on the Irish.
“Their tight end end legacy is awesome,” he says. “They've sent a bunch of guys to the NFL and...I mean, it's Notre Dame. You can't really say anything else about it.
“It would be an honor to play for Coach Freeman and Notre Dame and to set my own legacy there. There's nothing like Notre Dame.”
Hamilton has had some preliminary contact with Notre Dame.
“Coach Freeman actually did come into my school,” Hamilton says. “We talked about spring practice and how he really wants me to get up there.
“I haven't really had the chance to talk to the new tight ends coach, Coach Denbrock, but we follow each other on Twitter. I just can't wait to talk to him about the future.”
Monday’s trip to South Bend will kick off a mini string of visits for Hamilton.
“I am going to Ohio State the following day and I will be going to Kentucky, Wisconsin. I'll try to make it to Texas A&M or Coastal Carolina.”
