Dre Brown convinced Ksani Jiles‍ to come up check out Notre Dame on a visit and after spending Saturday in South Bend, Jiles is glad he did.

“It went great,” the 2026 IMG Academy cornerback told Irish Sports Daily afterward.

“I watched practice. Practice was very intense and I really loved that. The biggest thing for me was how they translated the meetings to the field and just brought a lot of energy.”

The 6-foot, 175-pounder said his favorite part of the visit was spending time at the Grotto.

“I'm a big faith guy, so just me being able to pray and a lot of candle for my prayer was just big for me,” he said. “Every campus I went to, I didn't really see that. I've never seen that before on any campus, so that really stood out to me.”

Jiles enjoyed getting to speak with defensive backs coach Mike Mickens.

“Coach Mickens is a great coach,” he said. “He showed me what he's doing with Benjamin Morrison and what he did with Sauce Gardner. That was very great for me. Both of those guys are elite level guys, so I feel like I could be one of the next ones.”

He spent most of his time with Brown.

“Dre Brown is my guy,” he said. “He's probably the main reason I came up here to visit this time. He talked very highly of the school, of the players on the team, so me being a recruit, I just wanted to see what that was about.”

It lived up to the hype. Jiles, who also has offers from schools like Ohio State, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and USC among several others, hopes to return soon.

“I want to get up there for a spring game or so, or if I don't get up to a spring game, just a summer visit, just catch up with the coaches and everything,” he said,

Jiles enjoyed a visit to Ohio State on Friday, but doesn’t have any other visits set up elsewhere at this point.

The Irish certainly grabbed his attention.

“I love them. They're definitely a top school in my recruitment right now. I'm just waiting to keep building relationships with them and take things slow.”
