2026 QB Brady Hart Recaps Notre Dame Visit
Brady Hart made his first trip to Notre Dame on Wednesday and the 2026 Florida quarterback left impressed.
“Everything was amazing,” he told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “Expectations were exceeded today.”
“I saw practice in the morning. I sat in meetings with Coach Gino (Guidugli), Coach (Mike) Denbrock and Coach (Marcus) Freeman. I toured campus, checked out the Stadium, all of the facilities and then went to dinner with the staff. It was awesome.”
The Cocoa High School standout was impressed with the Irish’s practice session.
“It was a high-intensity practice, high energy,” he said. “It was great.”
Hart enjoyed his tour of campus.
“I loved it,” he said. “It looks like Hogwarts.”
He also enjoyed his conversation with Guidugli.
“It was great,” said Hart. “He was just as genuine as he was when he offered me. He’s just a great guy and a really smart coach. He’s definitely someone I could see myself playing for.”
Freeman also made quite the impression.
“Coach Freeman was really impressive,” Hart said. “He’s a really cool, nice guy. You can tell that a team would rally around him.”
The message from Freeman was a simple one.
“Just make the decision best for yourself,” Hart said of what Freeman told him. “He basically said that I’m a great fit for the program and that they would love me to be a part of the Fighting Irish.”
Hart acknowledged that it was “pretty surreal” to hear that from the head coach of Notre Dame.
“It was really awesome to have a conversation with him and get to know him on a personal level,” he said.
And Hart sees the same characteristics of the fit as the Irish do.
“100 percent,” he said. “The great balance of academics and athletics and the types of guys they recruit. I could definitely see myself fitting in there.”
Wednesday’s dinner only reinforced some of those feelings.
“It was amazing,” he said. “I was talking to those guys like I’ve known them forever. It was a great conversation.
“I talked with CJ Carr for a while. He was at dinner with us. He’s a real cool guy and a really talented player.”
Hart will visit Florida on Thursday and also has trips coming up to Miami, Florida State and North Carolina.
“The whole thing is just seeing how other visits go and getting back up on campus in the summer and then just soaking everything in from here,” he said of the next step for himself and Notre Dame.
“I got a great feel today. I’m really excited to keep pursuing the relationship with the coaches and see how this thing goes.”
