2026 LB Noriel Dominguez Impressed by Notre Dame & Max Bullough
2026 Fort Bend Marshall (Texas) linebacker Noriel Dominguez was offered by Notre Dame on St. Patrick’s Day and less than a month later, the 6-foot-2, 220-pounder made his way to South Bend.
The Texas native was on campus for a couple of days to get a feel for the Notre Dame program, including attending Saturday’s scrimmage.
“The defense is my type of defense,” Dominguez told ISD. “Competitive, hype and vocal.”
Dominguez saw what a Notre Dame practice was like, but he was able to get a feel for linebackers coach Max Bullough as a coach and person.
“He is a cool coach,” said Dominguez. “When it’s go time, he’s all about business.”
With offers in hand from Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, Cal, Central Florida, Florida, Houston, LSU, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Orgon, SMU, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas State and Texas Tech, Dominguez is now making key trips to get a feel for each school.
At Notre Dame, Dominguez saw what he wanted on the football side, but also from the university as a whole.
“The campus,” Dominguez said of what surprised him about Notre Dame. “And the culture the community has on and off the field.”
As for a return, Dominguez expects to be back for another look at Notre Dame.
“I most definitely gotta set up another visit up there,” said Dominguez.
