2026 WR Zion Legree Talks Notre Dame, Irish Offer
Zion Legree looks like a prospect trending up and last month’s offer from Notre Dame would appear to be further evidence of that.
“It means a lot,” the 2026 Florida receiver said of the offer he received from the Irish during their Pot of Gold Day Blitz.
“It is a major offer and I appreciate Coach (Dre) Brown and Coach (Mike) Brown believing in me and offering me a scholarship.”
The timing of the offer was particularly special for the 6-foot-1, 195-pounder.
“They offered me on St. Patrick's Day and it was right after my 7-on-7 tournament while I was on the road,” he said.
“And it was my second Power Five offer.”
Legree already had offers from Kentucky and Arkansas State at the time. He’s since added Auburn and Mississippi State.
“I've been talking to Coach Dre Brown,” he said. “We've been building a bond and a relationship.”
Legree said his next steps are to focus on improving as a player.
“Locking in and getting a better understanding of football and the recruiting process and just trying to up my standards,” he said.
He’s hoping to get to South Bend for a visit soon.
“I want to see the football team and just like a day in the life of being at the University of Notre Dame,” the Pine Forest standout said.
He’s made recent stops at LSU and Mississippi State
It’s early, but he knows what kind of school he wants to attend.
“Somewhere where the coaches are going to be loving and understanding, have a bond, and make me a better person, not just on the field, but outside the field.”
