Nicholas Reddish‍ doesn’t know a ton about Notre Dame, but the 2026 North Carolina safety knows enough to know that he wants to learn more, which is why he’ll be in South Bend for Saturday’s spring game.

“I know Kyle Hamilton, the big-time safety came out of there, got drafted to the Ravens,” Reddish told Irish Sports Daily. “I know it's in Indiana and that's really it. I'm really trying to get to know more of it when I get down there and talk to people about it.

“I just want to see the defense fly around, have energy, I want to see the atmosphere of the team. Even though it's a spring game, I feel like they're still going to be outside and turnt.”

The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder picked up an offer from Notre Dame during the Irish’s Pot of Gold Day push.

“It was huge just knowing I had the opportunity of just being able to play at the next level, especially for a big-time school like Notre Dame,” Reddish said of the Irish offer.

“I just know it's really big for me; grabbing that offer grabs attention and I really had to go check it out so I can stay in touch with coaches and further my recruiting with them. I always see how safeties get developed there and I would love to be one of them.”

Reddish, who also has offers from schools like Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Missouri among others, is grateful for those around him.

“It's really unbelievable,” he said. “The support that my friends and family have given me has just been unbelievable.”

Reddish has made stops at Virginia Tech and Wake Forest recently. Although he doesn’t have any other visits locked in beyond this weekend, he does expect to continue hitting the road.

“I'm going to probably try to make some plans and go to camps too,” he said.

It’s early, but Reddish has an idea of what’s going to be most important to him when it comes time to make a decision.

“Definitely the relationships, the love with the coaches, the love that the coaches give to the players and all the attention they get.”
