Top 2025 LB Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng Locks in Notre Dame Official Visit
2025 IMG Academy (Fla.) linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng has had a busy spring of unofficial visits, but now it’s time for the meat of his recruitment as the four-star prospect is finalizing officials.
Notre Dame hosted Owusu-Boateng in January for Junor Day and it seemed to give the Fighting Irish some serious momentum as the 6-foot, 205-pounder was able to experience what his older brother, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, did while in South Bend.
Owusu-Boateng has now locked in a much-anticipated return to Notre Dame as he’ll return for his official visit on June 7th.
“They offered me my freshman year and they continued to show love on top of love,” Owusu-Boateng told ISD. “It’s important to me to take an OV there and confirm it’s for me.”
The Notre Dame staff has made the IMG Academy star a priority since his first visit and that includes sending defensive coordinator Al Golden to his school recently.
Golden has quickly become one of the nation’s top defensive coordinators and Owusu-Boateng feels wanted by the Irish DC.
“Al Golden came up to see to see me two weeks ago,” said Owusu-Boateng. “He keeps telling me that I’m a priority to their 2025 class. It means a lot to me. My brother went there and had success so I can come there and pick up where he left off.”
Notre Dame gave Owusu-Boateng a strong feel for what life would be like on campus on Junior Day, so this visit will be about mixing it up with potential teammates and simply getting a better feel for the program.
That said, Owusu-Boateng does want to see more from the Mendoza College of Business on this trip.
“I want to major in business, so seeing the business school some more,” explained Owusu-Boateng when asked what he wanted to experience on his official. “Not only that but talking more football seeing where I fit in the defense and how I can contribute massively.”
As for the message from Marcus Freeman, Max Bullough and Golden, it’s pretty simple.
“I am a priority and can also come in, contribute, and win the Butkus,” said Owusu-Boateng.
USC (May 31), Ohio State (June 14) and Michigan (June 21) will also host him for official visits in June.
