The state of Indiana isn’t as talent-rich as some of its neighboring states and that's not a big secret to those who follow the recruiting. Notre Dame has always prioritized in-state prospects and kept top talent home over the last 10-12 years. 

On Saturday, 2025, Indianapolis cornerback Mark Zackery IV‍ became the latest Indiana native to choose to spend the next few years in South Bend.
