2026 OL Sullivan Garvin Excited To Return To Notre Dame For Camp
Notre Dame certainly displayed interest in Sullivan Garvin this spring.
A couple of days after receiving an invitation to camp in South Bend, the 2026 Michigan offensive lineman received an invitation to attend one of the Irish’s spring practice, which Garvin described as “amazing.”
“I really didn't know much about them until I got there,” the Allegan High School standout told Irish Sports Daily. “When I got on campus, it was beautiful. It was one of the prettiest campuses I've ever seen. I also found out they have 9,000 kids, which is nice because I don't really like the whole big-city type feel.”
Notre Dame offensive line coach Joe Rudolph made a strong early impression.
“The football team is just outstanding,” said Garvin. “I really like Coach Rudolph. I like how everything is run there, to be honest. It feels like I'd be very comfortable spending four years there if an offer were to come about.”
Garvin currently has an offer from Western Michigan.
“That was pretty crazy,” Garvin said of the offer he received from the Broncos on April 1st. “I figured my first offer would be like a Division-II, for it to be a Division I MAC school, really gave me a sense of confidence, like maybe my dreams can come true. I'm enjoying it. It's fun meeting all these coaches, all these in-school visits. It's been really exciting.”
And he’s looking forward to getting back to South Bend for Irish Invasion this weekend.
“I’m hoping to show that I'm a player they can see fit on their line, that Coach Rudolph can see fit on his line,” said Garvin. “When they had me out to the spring practice, he said that he could see me playing guard because usually their tackles are 6-7, 6-8, 6-9, and I'm about 6-5. He said he could see me playing guard.
“I liked to hear that because there's just something about Notre Dame. I just hope to show him that I am able to play o-line at their University, that I fit their team and possibly be a player that they want.”
The 6-foot-5, 295-pounder will have a busy June.
After Irish Invasion, he’ll attend invitational camps at Penn State (June 7th), Western Michigan (June 9th), Michigan State (June 11th,) Indiana (June 18th) and Michigan (June 19th).
