College football is at the point in the calendar where there is excitement and eye rolls as official visits provide a chance to close the door on recruitments, while coaches also battle to avoid commits visiting elsewhere. 

Notre Dame has done an excellent job as 2025 safety Ivan Taylor‍ has been the only commit to take an official visit elsewhere. 

Would the Irish staff prefer him not to visit Alabama this weekend? Sure. It’s also likely they are prepared for it.
