2025 Notre Dame RB Commit Daniel Anderson Talks Official Visit
Daniel Anderson returned to South Bend for his official visit this weekend and the 2025 Notre Dame running back was blown away.
“It went great, man,” Anderson told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “I had a ton of fun.
“It was jam-packed every day and I had a ton of fun. I got to meet a few new recruits who I hadn't met before and get to bond with them a little bit. Just getting to meet with those guys was really fun. Getting to talk to more coaches who I really haven't had to have one-on-one time with, that was really fun too. We just really had a lot, every day. We had a bunch of meetings and got to talk with Admissions. I got to see some new places that I hadn't seen before.”
On Friday, Anderson and the other visiting recruits had a pool party at head coach Marcus Freeman’s house.
“That was really crazy,” the Arkansas back said. “His house was very nice and we had a lot of games there to bond with the guys. We really just had a lot of fun over this entire weekend, getting to just bond with each other and get to do new things.”
Anderson said he believes that’s a vital aspect of the recruit process, which has been stressed by Freeman and his staff.
“Coach Freeman and all the coaches see everybody as a family, and not just players that they can use, but as their own sons that they see a part of in their life and they get to coach and make them a better man,” he said.
“Getting to know my teammates better and getting to become a tighter family is very important for them to be able to do that and want to do that.”
Anderson had the chance to speak with running backs coach Deland McCullough again.
“I got to further listen to his running back program and see what he had in store for me and what his expectations were for my next few years,” he said.
Anderson was also able to meet with new offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock.
“We went over some stuff that was very important to him just to get to know as I'll be building under his program,” said Anderson. “I really do like him. I'm very excited to see where he'll take us and what the new future's going to be for us.”
Anderson will be back in South Bend in the fall.
“We're looking to come up to a game. We're just not sure when.”
