2026 WR Nasir Rankin Recaps Notre Dame Camp, Summer Plans
2026 Morgan Park (Ill.) receiver Nasir Rankin made his way to Notre Dame for Irish Invasion earlier this month and was given a tour by the staff following his performance.
“I think I did well,” Rankin said. “I felt good being able to show myself against top recruits to see where I’m at. Overall, I feel I did well.”
The 6-foot-1, 177-pounder had a solid day in one-on-ones, an area in which Rankins wanted to showcase himself.
“I was hoping to show off my hands, my athleticism and route grinning,” stated Rankins. “Showing I can move and stuff like that.”
Rankins was also quick to give credit to the quarterbacks at the camp, which included Notre Dame commits Deuce Knight and Noah Grubbs.
“The quarterbacks were really good,” said Rankins. “They were some of the best quarterbacks I’ve seen yet. There were some good quarterbacks out there.
“They were just talented. They were putting the ball on the money. There weren’t a lot of bad balls and that was a good thing. They were really skilled.”
Notre Dame and the coaching staff left a positive impression on Rankin and he hopes to hear good news soon as he plans to stay in contact with Mike Brown.
“I really like Notre Dame,” explained Rankin. “It’s close to home. I’m from Chicago. It’s one of the schools I’ve been looking at and waiting to get an offer from. I really like Notre Dame.”
The West Coast will host Rankin sometime this month and he’ll also head to Cornhusker State.
“Oregon is next,” Rankin stated. “That will be sometime later this month. After that, I’ll probably go to Nebraska.”
The Ducks made a positive impression on the Chicago native earlier this spring when they traveled to the Midwest and Rankin will return the favor.
“They came to the school,” Rankin said. “They wanted me to come to camp and they really liked my film.”
Regarding offers Rankin wants, Notre Dame is close to the top of that list.
“It would be good to get Notre Dame,” said Rankin. “I feel I’ll get that soon. SEC schools. After this year, I think my recruitment will blow up even more.”
