2025 WR Dylan Robinson Talks "Awesome" Notre Dame Official
Dylan Robinson got a great peek inside the Notre Dame Football program and the University as a whole during his official visit to South Bend this week and the 2025 California receiver liked what he saw.
“It was great,” Robinson told Irish Sports Daily. “It was a great visit, for sure.
“We saw everything. We got a rundown of all of the history. The history is crazy at that school. I think that was one of the coolest parts really, just kind of learning all the history. We had a whole bunch of meetings, I saw where I would fit in at Notre Dame, played golf. It was great.”
The Irish explained how they see the 6-foot-3, 190-pound speedster fitting in their offense.
“They really want me to be kind of the deep threat,” he said. “They see me as the deep threat, that explosive athlete that will make big plays, kind of go-to. In three by one, I'll be on the single-receiver side to put me one-on-one.
“I love it. That's what I do right now in high school. It's the best. Going one-on-one, it's really just me versus them, and I think I'm better than them, so it works out.”
The Bonita High School star truly enjoyed his time with Notre Dame receivers coach Mike Brown.
“Coach is awesome,” Robinson said. “He's awesome. I'd met him before, obviously, but just spending that time with him was great. We really built a bigger and greater relationship than we had already before. He is just a great person. Really, that whole staff is great.
He also spent time and had a meeting with Irish offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock.
“It was good, it was great actually,” said Robinson.
His meeting with head coach Marcus Freeman was another highlight.
“He was awesome; really a family man,” Robinson said of Freeman. “He is great. They're all just good people, and that's the biggest thing I'm looking for in a college is just good people.
“His biggest thing was, Choose Hard. He wanted me to choose Notre Dame to choose hard, not always choose the easiest path, because school there is hard, but it has great benefits. Choose hard, choose that school, choose hard football, good football.”
Robinson was able to learn even more about those benefits.
“Obviously the diploma and just the power of having that Notre Dame logo on your diploma or on yourself after graduating,” he said. “Also the networking. We actually had a meeting and were shown all of the possible people we can network with, how they would help us. They had it laid out, so that was pretty awesome to see.”
Robinson has already taken officials to Washington and Utah and has his last official coming up to UCLA next weekend
He’s planning to make his decision sometime toward the end of summer.
“We're probably going to come out with a date soon,” he said.
Notre Dame certainly has his attention.
“It's awesome. I think they're up there for sure. That's a real place and a really real option, a real thing. We'll see after I finish all my visits and I weigh everything out. But yeah, it's huge.”
