2025 Forward Trent Sisley Enjoys Notre Dame Team Camp, Preparing for Officials
2025 Heritage Hills (Ind.) forward Trent Sisley has seen Notre Dame in the past, but last week was a unique opportunity as he was able to experience it with his teammates at team camp.
The first game started out rough for Heritage Hills, but Sisley looked at it as a chance to get better and have fun.
“It’s great,” Sisle said of the camp. “It’s the first time we’ve come to team camp here. We got beat, but it’s fun being up here and getting some runs in.
“Obviously, you want to win and try to win. Being up here in the summer and playing in front of their coaches and playing against other high-level dudes has been fun so far.”
Sisley was also able to visit Notre Dame again and show his teammates what his future could be like if he signed with the Irish.
“I’ve been here a few times,” stated Sisley. “It’s really cool. Right now, we’re playing in the practice facility and it’s really nice. Being up here and seeing everything has been cool so far for everyone.”
In fact, the 6-foot-7 four-star prospect got to South Bend a day early to hang out with Notre Dame’s staff. O’Rourkes hosted them at the end of the night as Micah Shrewsberry and the Sisley family watched the NBA Finals.
“It was good,” explained Sisley. “I got to chat with him a little bit and watch the Celtics. He was there (Boston), so he was rooting for the Celtics, so it was pretty funny.”
Sisley also made sure to pick Shrewsberry’s mind about some of the Celtics stars.
“Just a little bit,” Sisley said. “I was asking about their organization and they have a lot of stars, so I was asking him about them.”
It’s clear Sisley has a strong relationship with Shrewsberry and assistant Ryan Owens as both sides are in consistent communication.
“Coach Shrews, I talk to him all the time with texts or calls and Coach Owens too,” Sisley stated. “Those are the main two guys I talk to the most.”
As for the next step in his recruitment, Sisley will focus on finishing the summer with his teammates and then turn his attention to a final round of official visits.
“I’m playing in these team camps right now,” said Sisley. “We play up here and then at IU. We’ll go to those events and then I’ll take my officials in the fall.”
