2018 Marietta (Ga.) defensive end Azeez Ojulari picked up an offer from Notre Dame on Thursday. Defensive line coach Mike Elston made sure the 6-foot-4, 224-pounder knew there was some good history between Georgia defensive ends and the Irish program.

“Coach Elston told me he loves the way I play and I need to get to campus for a visit,” Ojulari told Irish Sports Daily. “He was telling me about how Stephon Tuitt went from Georgia to Notre Dame and is now in the NFL.”

The four-star prospect could very well have an NFL future, and college programs across the country are taking notice. Ojulari holds offers from the likes of Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, N.C. State, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and Western Kentucky.

Ojulari was at Clemson recently and has plans to visit a college football powerhouse this weekend. He also plans to visit South Bend this summer.

“I have been to Auburn, Clemson, and Georgia,” stated Ojulari. “I am going to Alabama on Friday.”

The Georgia native is keeping things pretty simple on his visits. Ojulari is looking for comfort and a place he can find a good education and play top notch football.

“I am looking to find great academics and great football,” explained Ojulari. “I want to find a place that feels like home and somewhere I can excel on and off the field.”

With new offers coming in hot, Ojulari isn’t in a hurry to make a decision. He does have plans to narrow things down in the coming months and will focus on those schools heading into his official visits.

“I am probably going to go through the whole process,” Ojulari said of a decision timeline. “I will have a top group over the summer.”
