2026 CB Khary Adams Discusses Notre Dame Offer
2026 Loyola Blakefield (Md.) cornerback Khary Adams made the 10-hour drive (both ways) to Notre Dame for Monday’s final summer evaluation camp.
It was worth it for the 6-foot-2, 175-pounder as he left campus with an offer from Notre Dame and Toledo.
“My emotions were through the roof,” Adams told ISD following his conversation with head coach Marcus Freeman. “I was so excited.”
In addition to learning from defensive backs coach Mike Mickens during camp, Adams was able to speak with him following the camp.
“I liked the campus,” stated Adams. “The staff is great, and it’s honestly somewhere I feel very comfortable.”
In a couple of hours with Mickens on the field, Adams believes he enhanced his game and got a great feel for what it would be like to play for one of the top secondary coaches in the country.
“A takeaway was using my length arm to my advantage when in press,” explained Adams. “His style of coaching really teaches you what to do and how to get better.”
Adams admits the trip was a crazy one to make, but he was glad he made it, as it’s clear the Notre Dame offer was significant to him.
The four-star prospect isn’t done with camps this summer as he has a couple more stops to make.
“I have UNC on Sunday and Penn State soon,” said Adams.
Offers: Buffalo, UConn, Indiana, Maryland, UMass, Notre Dame, Pitt, Rutgers, Syracuse and Virginia Tech
