Caleb Davis Returning to Notre Dame
Caleb Davis left Notre Dame to become Gerad Parker’s Director of Player Personnel at Troy in December.
ISD can confirm FootballScoop’s report from John Brice that Davis will return to the Notre Dame program as the Director of Recruiting, which was vacated earlier this spring when Dre Brown left for Illinois.
Davis has a long history with Marcus Freeman and Chad Bowden as he worked under their guidance at Cincinnati as a student assistant. The Cincinnati alum was also quickly hired at Notre Dame when Freeman arrived to be defensive coordinator in 2021.
During the 2022 and 2023 seasons, Davis was a recruiting associate at Notre Dame and had a specific role on campus with several prospects while also helping with the evaluation process. Davis also had a hand in Notre Dame’s walk-on evaluations.
In fact, Davis played a part in Luke Talich's ending up at Notre Dame. He served as a point man before the safety was recruited following his performance at the Irish Invasion in 2022.
