2026 OL George Haseotes Keeps Notre Dame High On List

George Haseotes‍ has kept in contact with Notre Dame since the 2026 Florida offensive lineman visited South Bend back in April.

“I haven't talked to them as much as a couple other schools,” the 6-foot-3, 280-pounder says. “At least from what I've seen so far, a lot of schools like to make more contact than them.”

But that’s not necessarily a negative, according to Haseotes, and he certainly isn’t taking it as one.

“It is definitely different,” he says. “Sometimes it can make kids question their status with the school, but I think for me, I understand my abilities. I'm confident in myself to where if they decide to go in a different direction, then I know my abilities will be used somewhere else. But Notre Dame is a great school and if they keep interest in me, then I'll keep interest in them.

“I think they know where I stand and I know where they stand, so I think it's more about that than rather than keeping constant weekly conversation.”

The Community School of Naples standout counts Notre Dame among his offers along with schools like Florida, Miami, Georgia, Auburn, Texas A&M, Michigan State and Stanford among several others.

Haseotes enjoyed his trip to South Bend earlier this year and is hoping to return for a game this season if it works out. He’ll be looking to see consistency from the Irish this fall.

“They're a great program, a historic program, and just constantly improving,” he says. “They didn't lose an insane amount of people, and in the positions they did lose, they brought guys in, so I'm excited to see what they do this year. I think they’re going to have a really good season.”

Haseotes is expecting similar results from his own team this year.

“We're doing really good,” he says. “We brought in a lot of new kids. A lot of kids are starting to buy in a lot more than they did last year. We're going to have a really good season.”

He’s expecting a lot from himself as well.

“I think I've improved in all facets of the game,” he says. “I think my biggest improvement though would be my mental game. I see the game a lot slower now. I can know what the defense is going to do before they even do it, which is a big important trait to have.”

He’s excited about the challenge of getting the best effort from every opponent he faces this season.

“100 percent,” says Haseotes. “I think that only makes me a better player to go against better competition. If people want to bring their A-game against me, that's only going to make me better, so I'm ready for it.”

He doesn’t have any recruiting visits set this fall except for Florida’s opener against Miami on Aug. 31.
