Every game on a team’s schedule is of mammoth importance.

Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman does a great job explaining that, often referring to the games on his team’s schedule at the start of the season as “12 guaranteed opportunities,” noting that the team puts in work for 300 days a year for those limited opportunities. 

Those, along with any additional postseason opportunities, are by and large what Freeman, his players and his program are judged by.
