Antavious Richardson‍ isn’t sure exactly what to expect, but the 2025 Georgia receiver will be expecting a lot when he makes the trip to Notre Dame for an official visit next weekend.

“I don't really know, I think it's going to be a nice one though,” the Greenville High School star tells Irish Sports Daily. “That's a place I've never been to before, so I'm expecting good things out of it.”

Since offering Richardson last month, the Irish have worked furiously to build relationships with him and it’s paid off.

“The coaching staff and the bond I have with them,” Richardson says of why he’s interested in the Irish. “Basically the daily texts and stuff I get from them. That's basically what it is. I just have a bond with all the coaches, so that's what it is.”

The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder has kept in consistent contact with receivers coach Mike Brown, general manager Chad Bowden and even head coach Marcus Freeman.

“How bad they want me, how they want me to come down there,” Richardson says of what the coaches have been telling him.

“They feel like I'd be a good fit for their team and giving me daily messages and speeches about being a better person.”

Richardson is an athlete who could play multiple positions at the next level, but Notre Dame is recruiting him as a receiver who would bring versatility, which is fine with him.

“I tell everybody, it's what fits best for the team,” he says of whether he has a preference of position.

Richardson visited North Carolina last weekend and Alabama the weekend before that.

He calls the Alabama trip a “great experience.”

“Really their environment, the atmosphere out there,” he says of what stood out about his trip to Tuscaloosa. “I went out there and it was nothing but love.”

Richardson gave a commitment to South Florida over the summer, but since, schools like Notre Dame, Alabama, Duke and North Carolina have come in with scholarship offers.

Several others are showing interest as well and more offers are likely to come his way, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see this one come down to the Irish and the Crimson Tide.
