2026 Texas S Jordan Deck Remains In Touch With Notre Dame

Jordan Deck‍ isn’t sure he’ll be able to make it up to South Bend this year, but the 2026 Texas safety already had the chance to see Notre Dame in action once this season.

Deck currently has offers from the Irish, Texas A&M, Baylor, Oklahoma, Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State and Wisconsin among several others.

The 6-foot-2, 1805-pounder was in College Station for the Irish’s game at Texas A&M to open the season.

“It went very well,” Deck told Irish Sports Daily. “A&M has got a crazy, crazy fan base. That's the craziest thing I've ever experienced, being in that stadium.”

That crazy Aggie fan base is one of the reasons Deck left impressed with the Irish’s 23-13 win.

“I believe it was a great win on the road for Notre Dame; to go in that hostile environment and come out and win, I feel like that was a great win,” the Lone Star High School standout said.

Deck also left impressed with Irish cornerback Ben Morrison.

“#20 was very solid, man,” he said. “He was patient. He covered very well. I think he's very good. I think he played very well.”

Deck reached out to Notre Dame after the win.

“The next day, I texted the head coach, we talked and we had a good conversation,” recalled Deck. “I told him 'Congratulations. Great win.' He said he was proud of his guys.”

The message from the Irish has been a consistent one for months.

“They say that they fit my playing style,” Deck said. “They see me as being a very athletic player who could fit their scheme; kind of like Kyle Hamilton.”

Deck wants to get to South Bend, but it probably won’t be this fall.

“I'm trying to get over for an official,” he said, pointing toward next spring as a possibility.

“I want to see the campus and see the facilities and stuff like that, but mainly just being around the people.”

Deck isn’t planning to make many other visits at all this fall.

“No sir. I'm just playing football as of right now and focusing on winning games.”
