Phil Jurkovec got Notre Dame’s 2018 recruiting class started almost a year ago when the five-star quarterback from Pennsylvania gave the Irish his verbal pledge last May. That got the ball rolling and Notre Dame scored five more commitments that summer – running back Markese Stepp, defensive linemen Jayson and Justin Ademilola along with linebackers Ovie Oghoufo and Bo Bauer.
