BREAKING | 2025 Wing Ryder Frost Commits To Notre Dame
Micah Shrewsberry capped his most successful recruiting week at Notre Dame by scoring a commitment from 2025 Massachusetts wing Ryder Frost on Friday.
The 6-foot-6, 210-pound Frost chose the Irish over offers from schools like Michigan, Syracuse, Iowa, Wisconsin and Virginia Tech among others.
Frost is the third top target to commit to Notre Dame this week, following commitments from four-star forward Brady Koehler on Monday and five-star wing Jalen Haralson on Wednesday.
The Phillips Exeter Academy star exploded on the national scene back in May, running off double-digit offers inside of a week, including the one from Notre Dame.
Middlesex Magic coach Mike Crotty credited Frost’s spring explosion to his work ethic.
“He's strong as hell,” Crotty said of Frost. “I've been saying he's a college basketball player, he is just in high school. From the minute he wakes up, what he's doing with his body, what he's putting into his body, he's treating himself like a college guy or a pro.
“The strides he's made with his game and his body in the last two years, I think are a testament to his work and his work ethic.”
Throughout the process, Frost pointed to the importance he placed on the relationships he’d built with the coaching staff along with the on-court system and education as the pillars of his ultimate decision.
With Micah Shrewsberry and Mike Farrelly leading up Frost’s recruitment for the Irish, they were able to check the first two boxes while the third box was checked from the start.
Frost was never going to rush his decision and took official visits to each of his finalists before making his choice.
After averaging 20 points, eight rebounds and four assistant to lead Phillips Exeter to a title last season, he averaged 15.2 points on the Under Armour Association and was one of the circuit’s most efficient scorers.
