Notre Dame Makes 2025 WR Antwaun Parham A Clear Priority
Over the past few weeks, Notre Dame has certainly made it clear to Antwaun Parham that he’s a priority.
“Anytime the head coach comes down, that lets you know that they're very much interested in him as a person and as a player,” Parham’s coach at Monarch High School, Calvin Davis, tells Irish Sports Daily of the 2025 Florida receiver.
“That's pretty huge that he came down and expressed interest. It just lets us know that he really, really wants him to be a part of his '25 class.”
Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman made his way down last month and the Irish also had the chance to see Parham play in person before deciding he was a top-tier target for them.
Parham made a commitment to Tulane in June, but the offer from Notre Dame is one he feels he needs to investigate further, which is why he’ll be on campus for an official this weekend.
“He is going on a visit, so he's very much interested,” says Davis. “They come in at a really good time, really good opportunity. We'll just see how it goes, how him and his family enjoy the visit and just go from there.”
Davis understands the interest in Parham from Notre Dame’s point of view.
“He has great hands,” the coach says. “He's 6-3.5, runs a 4.5, 38-inch vertical. He's a great football player. He'd be a great admission to their class. I just feel like his upside and his ability is on another level. On par with some of the great receivers we've had here.”
Parham’s impact on the Monarch program goes beyond catching touchdowns.
“Really funny guy, a great teammate,” says Davis. “He's really good with the other guy; great teammate, pretty good leader, leads more so by example. He's not really a big talker, but someone the guys look up to and the guys follow.”
Davis believes Parham will continue making strides over the year as he gains experience.
“As a football player overall, he's really good. I think it's just the experience, the adjustment to that level would be the only thing.”
