Why ND? How did you become a fan?
I was raised and confirmed Catholic, and the “ND Family” was a real draw along with the combination of academic and athletic excellence.
Do you remember the first ND game you watched?
Yes, Ron Powlus’ first home start.
Which game was your first Irish game attended, and how many have you attended over your lifetime?
USC 1996. Lou Holtz’s only loss of USC.
What is ND's record in games you've attended (maybe you're the problem)?
I attended during the Davie years…I prefer not to relive this lol
What is your favorite ND moment?
Aside from opening my acceptance letter my senior year in high school, seeing the #1 sign lit because of ND Football.
The most proud you've ever been to be a ND fan?
Even though we lost, my most proud moment was seeing in person how hard the team fought against USC in 2005. I’ve never seen an ND team and stadium so collectively invested in winning a football game.
The most angry you've ever been at a ND game?
I don’t take loses well, and we’ve had many over the years. However, the Tulsa loss in 2010 when Tommy Rees threw a pick in the end zone trying to target Michael Floyd made me want to break something…so unnecessary.
Have you ever physically broken something because you were so angry during or after a ND game?
Haha, speaking of…I learned to keep sharp and breakable objects out of arm’s reach during games. Mostly throwing plastic cups and squeezing pillows.

Until recently, no Jumbotron and no piped music…but alas, that era has passed.

Lou Holtz – He truly believed in the Notre Dame spirit.

Parking lot for a post-game tailgater
Most despised opposition player ND has played against?
Easy, Carson Palmer. I grew up with him in Orange County, and he was an arrogant jerk *before* he got to USC.

What is your ideal ND season?
National Championship, of course, with a punishing defense to lead the way to victory.
If you could sit and watch a ND game with one person, who would it be and why?
Knute Rockne, because I like to see how he would react to the size, speed of the athletes nowadays and how the forward pass has progressed.
Worst fans in college football?
Easy, Michigan.
Most hated opposition coach?
Also easy, David Shaw, such a whiner.
What is your favorite thing about ISD?
The detailed analysis provided by the staff and the inside knowledge of the program shared by Mike.
Which ISD staff member do you think is the best dancer? You can choose mods, interns, columnists, etc.
Definitely Matt Freeman, he seems to have no shame, and that goes a long way on the dance floor ;)
What should be the punishment for Buccos, who says he is happy with 8 wins in any season?
He should have to watch the rest of ND’s football games with Monk Malloy, Bill Kirk, and Kevin White with Charlie Weis and Bob Davie providing color commentary.
