There seemed to be only two options for the Notre Dame offense against Virginia: feast or famine.

They got the gift on the muffed kickoff and scored right away. Then they proceeded to go three-and-out on five of the next six drives. The one drive of those six they didn’t go three-and-out, they drove it 88-yards on nine plays for a touchdown.

Two turnovers forced by the Notre Dame defense put them in a good spot to add two more touchdowns and it ended up being 28-0.
