I’ve written about the idea of Jenga pieces on a football team before. The idea, originated by former NFL Network personality Dave Dameshek, is that one player can be viewed as the most critical piece for a team’s success and if that player is taken away, things can collapse.

Notre Dame has had a lot of pieces taken away this season. They lost their starting left tackle in the first week of camp. They lost their starting center a few weeks into the season.
