Every Notre Dame fan knows that they had a need at defensive tackle in the transfer portal with Rylie Mills and Howard Cross both being out of eligibility and uncertainty on the status of Jason Onye.

They needed more depth at the position heading into next season and landing former Louisville DT Jared Dawson addresses that. A stout player with good twitch, he has proven he can be a productive interior pass rusher at the Power 4 level.
