It’s very hard to get to the top of the mountain in college football. Ohio State’s run under Urban Meyer and Ryan Day is evidence of that.

Meyer won a national title in his third season in Columbus. He consistently had one of the most talented rosters in the country for the next four years, but couldn’t win another one. Day had loaded rosters in each of his six seasons and won a ton of games, but didn’t get over the hump until this season.
