6 Thoughts After the Blue-Gold Game

April 24, 2017

The first rule of spring games is that no one wins in a spring game. Mostly because it's not an actual game, but also because it's your team versus your team. Someone does something good usually equals someone doing bad on the other side of the ball.

In that way, it's best not to overreact to what happens in a spring game, though I'm sure there are many that will. It's the first live action that 99% of fans have seen since the end of the season. At Notre Dame with a new offense, a new defense, and a new quarterback, Saturday's Blue-Gold game was ripe for overreaction.
