2026 WR Connor Salmin Enjoys Another Trip to Notre Dame
2026 The Bullis School (Md.) receiver Connor Salmin has been a frequent visitor to Notre Dame over the last year and returned over the weekend for Junior Day.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder was able to get around four of Notre Dame’s commits, while he also got to get a feel for other prospects the Irish are recruiting in his class.
“The commits that were there were great to be around,” Salmin told ISD. “We had a lot of fun.”
In fact, Salmin’s favorite part of the visit was getting to meet various people at Notre Dame or others who were on the visit.
“My favorite part was spending time with the people at Notre Dame, whether it's coaches, recruiting staff, or other recruits there were a lot of good people there,” stated Salmin.
Salmin has developed a strong relationship with receivers coach Mike Brown and the two were able to connect for some quality time on Saturday.
Brown was able to get Salmin in the meeting room, but also the two spent time outside the Gug building on their relationship.
“Coach Brown and I talked a lot about football during our meeting,” explained Salmin. “How he develops and prepares players, how drills in practice lead to performing in games and stuff. But throughout the day, we caught up about family, track, school, recruiting and stuff.”
Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman also made time to meet with Salmin.
The message was straightforward. Freeman wants speed, and Salman would bring that to the Notre Dame roster.
“I had a great time meeting with Coach Freeman and catching up with him,” Salmin said. “I know he likes my speed. We talked about track and training a lot. He went over what it was like playing in the championship and how the team culture is what brought the team success this season.”
Clemson, Penn State, Virginia and Virginia Tech have made important winter visits to see him, but it’s clear Notre Dame made another positive move with the four-star prospect on Saturday.
“It was great to be back in South Bend,” said Salmin. “A lot of positive energy coming off of the season and Junior Day was a lot of fun.”
