2026 Safety Nick Reddish Talks Notre Dame, Official Visits
Nicholas Reddish has taken a meaningful step in his recruitment as the 2026 North Carolina safety has locked in five official visits this spring.
Reddish goes to Indiana on May 2nd and will go to Wisconsin on May 30th. Then, he’ll head to Virginia Tech June 6th, Notre Dame June 13th and USC on June 20th.
The Independence High School star said each of those schools has shown him plenty of attention and love.
“Notre Dame has stood out because of the education that they are offering and the networking that you can get when you go there,” Reddish added.
Irish defensive backs coach Mike Mickens has been his main point of contact in South Bend and credited Mickens with consistently staying on him and letting him know how much he’s valued.
“He's a great guy,” Reddish said. “He's really transparent with everything that he talks about.”
Reddish has already been to South Bend twice, once in April and again in June.
When he returns this June, he’ll be looking to dig deeper into the program.
“More about the education,” he said of what he’s looking forward to.
“Coach Mickens harped on it, but I actually want to get into it and see what I want to study.”
The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder said where he feels he’ll be developed best will be a major factor in his final decision.
Reddish isn’t going to rush his decision, but he believes he’ll be ready to commit sometime after his official visits.
“I'll probably commit in July.”
Reddish is familiar with many of the North Carolina prospects the Irish are recruiting and have recruited in the past, including current linebacker commit Thomas Davis Jr., who has been in Reddish’s ear plenty about Notre Dame.
