2027 QB Peter Bourque Ready For Notre Dame Return

Peter Bourque‍ always knew he’d get back to Notre Dame at some point, he just didn’t know when.

Now, the 2027 Massachusetts quarterback knows exactly when.

He will be in South Bend for a spring practice March 21st.

“I just love Notre Dame,” Bourque says. “I love everything about the place. I've always been a fan of Notre Dame; great school and great football.”

Bourque camped at Notre Dame last summer and will be looking to see more when he returns later this month.

“I just want to see how a practice runs,” the Tabor Academy star says. “I want to see the guys in action. I haven't seen that yet in real life. I've only seen it on TV. I want to see how a meeting functions. I don't know. I just want to get to learn a little bit more.”

The 6-foot-4, 190-pounder has been in regular communication with the Irish, setting up the visit and getting to know each other better. He already has a great feel for quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli.

“I love him,” says Bourque. “He's a great coach and a great person as well.”

Notre Dame hasn’t offered any 2027 quarterbacks yet, but Bourque is one that has been a priority for the Irish for almost a year now.

“It's awesome,” says Bourque. “Notre Dame is a priority for me too. If I ever get that...it's really one of my top schools.”

Bourque’s offer sheet currently includes schools like Penn State, Texas A&M, Rutgers, Illinois, North Carolina and Ole Miss among others. He’s looking at visiting most of those schools soon.

“We're figuring it out a little bit,” he says. “I think we're going to Rutgers in March. We're going to find time to go to Ole Miss. We're going to North Carolina. Illinois, Texas A&M.

“We're still putting it together, but those are schools we're trying to get to; mostly the big offers that we're trying to get out to.”

The only school not included on the upcoming itinerary as of now is Penn State and that’s only because he was just in Happy Valley last month.

“It was good,” he says of that visit. “I like Penn State as well.”

Bourque doesn’t have a timeline laid out for narrowing his list or ultimately making a final decision.

“Not right now. I don't really have a plan. I don't think I'm going to rush it too much, but I'll probably have schools narrowed down in my head by summer.”
