Notre Dame basketball will be without a key member of the program as Tae Davis will enter the Transfer Portal per Jeff Borzello of ESPN.

The 6-foot-9 forward will be highly coveted following a strong junior season that saw Davis average 15.1 ppg and 5.3 rpg.

Davis, an Indianapolis native, also scored 20 points eight times and improved his three-point shot tremendously from his sophomore to junior year. In 2023-24, Davis shot just 18.4 percent from three and that jumped to 30.2 this past year.

In addition to his skill set on offense, Davis wants to play defense and can guard four positions, which will only increase his value at his next stop.

The Davis family is familiar with the portal as Davis started his career at Seton Hall where he averaged 2.8 ppg and 2.8 rpg in 32 games as a freshman. Davis’ older brother, Dre, has had stops at Louisville, Seton Hall and ended his career at Ole Miss this season.

It’s also worth noting Davis will sign with Octagon Basketball, the same agency that signed Notre Dame star Markus Burton last week.
