2026 Notre Dame LB Commit Thomas Davis Jr. "Locked In" With Irish
Thomas Davis Jr. returned to South Bend for the second time since announcing his commitment to Notre Dame last fall.
“Everything went great,” the 2026 North Carolina linebacker told Irish Sports Daily afterward.
“I had a great time.”
This trip was a little different for the Weddington High School star.
“This time, I was a lot more involved,” he said. “Going through the day with the players and seeing stuff.”
Davis Jr. arrived in South Bend before Saturday’s full day.
“We got in on Friday night and went to dinner,” he said. “Then the next morning, I got to go through meetings and stuff.”
As he said earlier, Davis Jr. felt like he was a part of everything more than ever before.
“I felt a lot more involved in knowing what was going on at practice,” he said.
Afterward, he had the opportunity to spend time with some of his future teammates.
“I hung out with a few players,” he said. “I hung out with Bryce Young. I got to sit in with the younger linebackers for their meeting after the practice.
“And then I was hanging out with Ebenezer.”
Ebenezer is Notre Dame’s newest commit, 2026 North Carolina defensive end Ebenezer Ewetade.
“Ebenezer is a great kid,” Davis Jr. said. “He has a really high ceiling.”
Davis Jr., said it’s “great” to see more players from North Carolina being added to the roster. But where a kid is from isn’t nearly as important to him as what a kid is about.
“You can tell they're recruiting like-minded people, who want to be the best they can and want the best for the team,” he said. “So I'm excited to be able to play with those guys in the future.”
A longtime Irish commit, Davis Jr., continues to be excited about the decision he made.
“I feel the same. I'm locked in 100 percent.”
