Blue-Gold Game
Notre Dame Stadium| 2:00 PM ET | Peacock | Notre Dame Defense -6.5
Five Players To Watch
RB Nolan James Jr.
The early enrollee is stuck behind a wall of talent, but today could be his chance to shine. There is literally no reason in the world why Jeremiyah Love should play a snap, and the case could also be made for Jadarian Price. There should be carries available and James could have a chance to show what he’s got.
WR Logan Saldate
Saldate has had a productive spring, minus a few drops. He’ll be in line to get some significant work on Saturda,y given Jaden Greathouse won’t get too much run and Will Pauling likely will be held back. Watch out for Saldate if the Irish get into the red zone.
Notre Dame’s Defensive Line
It might get ugly up front today. Notre Dame’s offensive line will start an early enrollee at right tackle and a redshirt freshman who didn’t practice much last fall at left tackle. The Irish have one of the best defensive lines in the country, so it might be a free-for-all up front.
CB Karson Hobbs
The redshirt freshman cornerback has impressed many this spring with his work in the nickel. He’s a longer corner, which presents some intriguing matchups inside. Hobbs has never lacked confidence, but a big spring game could give him a significant boost into the offseason.
S Tae Johnson
The Fort Wayne native has been highlighted by his peers all spring. One source reminded me earlier this week that Johnson was ahead of Leonard Moore before an injury ended his fall camp - and Johnson had never played cornerback before last year. Now, he’s at safety and was a menace at last week’s scrimmage.
