Notre Dame and Micah Shrewsberry have landed a key piece to the 2025-26 roster in grad transfer forward Carson Towt.

The Northern Arizona transfer announced his transfer to the Fighting Irish on Sunday and it gives Notre Dame a much-needed post presence.

In 2024-25, Towt averaged 13.3 ppg, 12.4 rpg and 3.4 apg for the Lumberjacks. In fact, the 12.4 rebounds per game led the country in rebounding last season and Towt had just six games with single-digit rebounds.

The 6-foot-8, 235-pounder also shot a solid 56.9 percent from the field as a senior. If there’s a downside to Towt’s game on paper, it’s his free throw shooting as he’s a career 42.2 shooter at the charity stripe. The Arizona native also has never taken a three-pointer in his career.

Towt had received interest from Baylor, Cal, GCU, Iowa, St. Mary’s, Washington State, Xavier and several other programs.
