Bubba Frazier‍ didn’t expect to end his recruiting process so soon, but after getting a chance to experience Notre Dame in person last week, the 2026 Georgia receiver knew he’d seen enough.

On Monday, Frazier announced his commitment to the Irish over schools like Georgia, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin, Auburn, Arkansas and Cincinnati among several others.

“I'm excited,” Frazier told Irish Sports Daily prior to the public announcement. “I'm ready to get back up there for my OV.”

The Benedictine Military School star will return to South Bend for his official visit in June, scrapping planned officials to Georgia Tech and Wisconsin.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder gives Notre Dame 11 commits in its 2026 recruiting class and joins longtime pledge Dylan Faison to give the Irish a pair of receivers.

His first trip to Notre Dame earlier in the month and his conversations with head coach Marcus Freeman and receivers coach Mike Brown helped seal the deal.

“It was a great time,” he said. “I got to experience the campus, talk to the coaches, talk to Coach Freeman about some things and Coach Brown, how they need me and how they'd use me in their offense.

“They need a player like me; speed, shifty, slot receiver, just get the ball in my hands and let me work type of player. They're telling me they'll use me in a slot, punt return, most likely, everything.”

That’s exactly how Frazier wants to be used.

“That's it,” he said. “I feel like that's the perfect thing.”

He also liked the feeling he got from the staff.

“They're good,” he said. “I got great vibes from them. They talked to me about personal life things. It wasn't just all about football with them. I just had a great time with them.”

The coaches were fired up when Frazier told them the news.

“They were happy for me,” he said. “They were excited and they're just ready for me to be a part of our family.

Campus and academics also checked boxes.

“Campus was nice,” he said. “I love the campus. It was nice. Everything about it was nice.

“They're one of the best when it comes to academics. I feel like Notre Dame is a good school for academics and one of the top programs for football.”
