Marcus Freeman was hesitant to talk about how talented his team is at his final spring press conference. If he did hype up his team too much, it would go against the message he has been talking about with them since the end of last season.
Teams that get caught up believing their own hype can end up losing games they shouldn’t. It happened to Notre Dame last season against Northern Illinois. Since then everything has been about the process for the Irish.
